Why children and adults should work together...

A quote from a teenager, addressed to the adults at Eurochild's Annual Conference:

 "You have more experience and we have new ideas. It is an ideal combination!"


Do you have any examples of where children and adults have worked together on a project, or to achieve a goal? Or, do you have any ideas on ways that children and adults could do this?

    I do not have any ideas/experiences per se. But having taught high school students, it frustrates me when we treat them like idiots, when thry have valid ideas and contributions.

      Thanks for your comment. I agree with you - it frustrates me when adults treat them like that too, and when adults do not value the ideas and contributions of young people, just because they are young.

    What a great idea ~ I highly recommend it as it is beneficial to both! Young people most definitely enjoy being treated with respect and fairly ~ and many times have such great ideas! It's a win-win!

      It is so true what you say about young people. I think it is a win-win situation too and is definitely beneficial to both!
